Easter Weekend 2017

Happy Monday!!!

It's oxymoron day over here...or is it?  It's Spring Break Central, so I guess that qualifies as a Happy Monday!  Also, waking up at 10:45, eating some Gertrude Hawk Baseball Smidgens, and catching up on Designated Survivor (so.GOOD.) and then running to the gym to teach HIIT and do some upper body and Zumba does actually qualify as a Happy Monday!

How was everyone's Easter?

Insert caption about sibling Easter pics

This was our second Easter in NJ.  We used to go to PA to visit my Grammy for Easter, but after she died, we had one Easter in NJ.  After that, Dylan went to JMU and we went to visit him in VA.  Easter dinner was often had in Buffalo Wild Wings or Texas Roadhouse!   For our second NJ Easter, we headed to Cafe Madison for dinner.  So so so yummy!  We all had lobster bisque for an appetizer.  I had salmon with pureed tomatoes and fennel.  For dessert I had a flourless chocolate cake and half of Deb's cheesecake.  Can you tell I missed dessert for 40 days?

Key Lime Martini for me, grapefruit martini for Deb, coke for dad, and Mexican martini for Dylan
Cheesecake...I only ate 1/2 :)

I had a friend filled weekend and that is exactly how I like it.  FriYAY started out earrrrrly.  I taught Spin from 5:30-6:15 am then I stayed to do some upper body work.  I came home, showered, ate the best breakfast ever and then headed to tutor.  The library was closed for Good Friday (bad Catholic over here didn't even think it would be closed) so I took my student to Starbucks where we sipped apple juices and crushed fractions.  After that I got my mani and then Deb and I headed to King of Prussia Mall for some Lilly Pulitzer and sneaker needs.

2 traffic filled hours later, we arrived.  After we got our Lilly and sneaker spoils, we headed to California Pizza Kitchen for dinner.  They have a SANGRIA FLIGHT!  THIS IS NOT A DRILL!  IT'S REAL LIFE!

3 oz each of Beehive Sangria, Red-Berry Sangria, and Orchard Sangria

Can we just make this a world wide thing?  Like the kale or quinoa movement of 2017?

After a long day of shopping (I think I'm getting old because I needed a nap after that mall trip), I came home and fell asleep.  Like at 8:30.

Saturday was spent gymming it up.  Deb took my spin class!!  Then we did weights and Pilates.  I went food shopping and then got ready for dinner.  The best dinner.  OF.ALL.SUSHI.TIME.

Cait and I went to Oishii Poke in Philly for dinner.  A few weeks ago, Dylan went to this place for lunch.  When he got home he was raving about it and I snuck a sample.  It rocked my face off.

This place is like a Pancheros but for sushi.  Everything is very fresh and clean.  You can get a sushi salad bowl, sushi burrito (basically uncut sushi) or a sushi bowl.  I opted for the bowl.  I got brown rice, raw salmon, boiled shrimp, lettuce, seaweed salad, spicy aioli, broccoli, cucumber, corn, mango, carrots, seaweed salad, crab salad, tobiko, and sesame seeds.  It was amazing!  The portions are generous, but not overwhelming.  It was also $9!  You can't get a sushi roll for $9!  I capped it off with a bottle of Watermelon Bai.  Insanely good!

Demolished in 3 minutes!

I hope you all had a great weekend and enjoyed your egg hunts, egg rolls, egg dyeing, and chocolate!  This Spring Break is shaping up to be a good one and it's only Monday!

XOXO,

e

Friday Favorites Olympics Edition

Happy FriYAY!

How is everyone doing?!  Sorry I've been MIA, I've been trying to get back into the swing of normalcy over here after 3 weeks of weddingstravaganzas!  Raise a wedding cake covered fork if you're ready to have a weekend free of weddings?!

Not that I don't love weddings, but I'm ready to breathe and have a peaceful low key weekend.  However, I can't wait to show you the pictures from Kate's shower and her bachelorette party!

Is everyone watching the Olympics?  I'm not a huge Olympics fan **put down the pitchforks lol** but I've watched a few of the competitions.  Gymnastics...obviously!   A little bit of swimming (Ryan Lochte's blue hair doesn't impact how cute he is) and some beach volleyball.

In traditional Friday Fashion here are my favorites from the week!  Feel free to play along in the comments section.

Botched By Nature- Wednesdays at 9 on E!  I'm obsessed with Botched anyway and when I found out the doctors were going to do another show my plastic surgery obsessed self started to dance!  When I was 2.5 I fell at my swim club and broke open my forehead.  My parents opted to have plastic surgery done to fix my forehead.  I'm so glad they did.  I know that if I didn't have that surgery, I wouldn't be as comfortable with myself as I am now.

This Michael  Phelps picture.

source

What a great quote!  I think everyone has gotten caught up in jealousy or envy or self doubt and this picture is a great way to visually understand that it's all BS.  How many times have you played the comparison game?  She's faster than me, she's prettier than me, she's stronger than me.  The list goes on and on, but do those comparisons make you better or improve your skills?  Nope!  They don't help you improve at all.  I think all of that negative self-talk actually makes your performance worse.  So next time you want to compare yourself to someone else, think about this picture.  Phelps is focused on the wall and winning, and Chad Le Clos is focusing on Phelps.  Focus on winning.

Aly Raisman's Parents!

These two crack me up!  How do they not make her even more nervous?  If those were my parents I would ask them not to come because they would make me wayyyyy too nervous :)  They're so funny and it's so obvious that they love their daughter and want her to be successful, but they are hilarious!

Phillies Wall of Fame and Alumni Weekend!

Every August, the Phillies welcome another player to their Wall of Fame.  This year the honor is going to my favorite Philly *drum roll please* Jim Thome!

source

Thome was a first basemen for the Phillies who was the #1 home run hitter in the NL in 2003.  He has 612 career home runs, the 7th most in MLB.

For Christmas in 2003, my dad got me a Thome jersey (in a size Men's XL none the less) and I can't wait to resurrect that jersey for today's game.

First Comes Love by Emily Giffin.  This book is so so so good!  I have read all of her books and love how the different characters from her different books are intertwined.  This book focuses on the relationship between two very different sisters.  The book alternates chapter by chapter between one sister's point of view and the other.  It's a cool way to understand the various points of view while keeping the book fast paced.  I am almost done and I am doing what I always do when I get close to the end of a good book...I put it off.  I try to avoid the book at all costs.  When I lay out I read a few pages then I fall asleep because I don't want to finish the book.  I don't want it to be over because I know I'll miss the book.

Plumcots!  They're baaaaaack!  Plumcots are an apricot/plum hybrid and they're delicious!  They're sweet, but not so much so that they cause the sugar shakes.  I had green plumcots this year, too!  A little bit more tart than the red ones.

Tory Burch Jolie Fleur Bleue Parfum Rollerball

This week I picked up this new perfume for my upcoming cruise.  I wanted something different than my usual Calvin Klein Eternity and since Tory is my fave shoe designer and Philly girl, I decided to try hers.  It was love at first smell.  At a $28 price point, my purse was happy, too!  I love how convenient it is to just roll on and throw it in my clutch and I'm good to go out for the night.  I know it's also strange, but the cap screws on really tight and that makes me smile because I'm confident that the perfume won't get all over my purse.

So those are my favorite things from the week.  What are you all loving?

Free Baseball

Hey Friends!

How are all of you doing today?  I'm doing pretty well.  Still working on staying on the wagon (just a little coconut milk ice cream with a drizzle of chocolate sauce), but everything else has been bueno.

Today started with sleeping in until 8 (YUSSSS!) then tutoring for an hour.  A quick grocery store run rounded off the morning.  I'm off to get bonds put on my teeth because I apparently brushed too hard. It's supposed to be a quick appointment...fingers crossed.  I'm such a dental work baby.

Last night was super fun.  My dad and I went to the Phillies game last night.  They Phils played the Giants and the game went into extra innings.  Extra Innings=FREE BASEBALL!

The game went into the 12th inning and the Phils pulled out a win thanks to Maikel Franco!  I saw one of my students on the Phanovision which was so exciting!  I think this was his first baseball game so that makes it extra fun!

Our seats this time were right next to the bullpen in center field.

We've never sat here before and it was fun to watch the pitchers warm up.

Covert Ops Pictures
Also, where there are pitchers...there is CAMERON RUPP!  My fave player and the only person who could ever be runner up to Phillies beloved Chooch!

Cam warming up
Cameron's fan club is known as Ruppies Puppies!  We're considering this for our audition.  It should work, no?

To stay healthy at baseball games I tend to eat before I go.  Last night I sliced up an eggplant (from JERSEY BABY!  THANK YOU FARMER'S MARKETS), Jersey tomatoes, Jersey zucchini's, and some fire roasted tomatoes.  I mixed a little EVOO, garlic, Italian spices, garlic, and rosemary and brushed it on the eggplant before I put it all in a baking dish and baked at 450 for 45 minutes.  It was delicious!  So easy and super healthy.  Definitely a keeper!

At the game I bought a giant water (for $6...not too happy that I could buy an entire case of Disani Liters for $4...but such is life) and sip it throughout the game.  It keeps me busy (I'm a notorious boredom grazer) and hydrated.  With a race a little more than 5 weeks away, I'm trying to keep myself hydrated and away from the junk.

Tonight I'm off to Zumba, Pilates, Barre, and weight lifting.

I hope you all are having a great day and I can't wait to share with you a little Weekend Warrior Workout that I'll be doing with my HIIT class on Saturday morning :)

Does anyone have any fun weekend plans?  We're doing a beach birthday bash for my cousin, a bridal shower, and a dinner with Ra in Princeton.

Phillies 5k

Hoppy Easter Weekend!!

So...I'm the worst blogger ever.  I used to be good at this, but then I grew up, got a big girl job that I LOVE and completely ran out of free blogging time.

Anyway......

Today I ran the Phillies 5k!  If you know anything about me you know a few things

1.) I LOVE baseball
2.) I LOVE running

Put these things together and you get one happy Erin.

I had to do some mayyyjahhh convincing to sway Deb into letting me run this race.  We usually head down to Virginia to visit the brother on Easter Saturday, but she generously allowed me to run as long as I promised to be home by 10 am.  No greater PR motivator than an angry mama for 5 hours in a car.  Yikes!

By the time I convinced her, the race was up to $50.  That's usually more than I spend on a 5k, but the buy in included:  2 100 level seats to 2 different games, a 20% coupon to the Majestic Club House (hello new running jacket), a free app at Xfinity Live, a medal, and post-race snacks.  You also get to walk around the warning track to cool down.  Since I have no kids under 12 and am not a senior citizen, this is my only *legal* opportunity to go on the field.  I seriously think people have kids for 2 reasons:

1...eat their Halloween candy
2...run the bases at professional baseball games

The race was super fun and well organized.  They gave you multiple options for packet pick up, easy to swap game tickets, and a chance to walk around the field!  The runners were a good mixture of competitive and casuals.

Phillies shoe wine holder?!  Does this scream Erin or what??
The race also started at 9 am which was nice because then I didn't have to get up super early.  Parking was a breeze (and FREE) and as we walked to the starting line we passed pretzel vendors (gotta love Philly) who also had COTTON CANDY!  Swoon.

The race started at the stadium and had us run around CBP and then under the 95 overpass and through FDR park.  There was one water station and I (unsuccessfully) guzzled some water.  Can anyone tell me how they manage to actually get the water into their mouth?  I end up looking like a rabid dog trying to lap up water.every.single.time.  I end up wearing the water on my shirt like a boss dork.  The race course was really fun.  It was a good mix of scenery and was all pavement running.  The race ended with us coming up Broad Street and having to run a minor hill before we went down hill to the finish line.  There were multiple bands playing to encourage us, but minimal spectators.  No signs either.  The signs are really motivating so I definitely missed them.

Of course the Phanatic was there to officially start the race.

Oh hey, Big Buddy!
Once we finished, we were greeted with our medals, a bottle of water and our choice of either a soft pretzel or a banana.  I rolled with the pretzel because, let's face it, I wasn't going to make the 10 am departure time requested by Deb so I figured I'd bring her a pretzel peace offering.  If you're wondering it worked like a charm ;)

Peace Offering

The coolest medal!

It's a baseball cap
After catching my breath and guzzling the water, I went down the tunnel to the field.  It was pretty cool being in the tunnel.  I got to walk the warning track from 1st base, around home plate, and up to 3rd base.

View from the field
I asked one of the sweet ushers to take my picture, but it was kind of a weird picture.  Note to self, always ask a girl to take the pic.  We know the good angles.  Guys are like, whatever you're in the frame and it clicked so it's good enough.

Awkward post race pic
Baseball season is right around the corner :)
Post-race view

The race was really good.  I didn't PR, but I finished in 22:43, 172nd out of 6,000 entrants, 8th female overall, and 25th in my age group.  Not too shabby for my first race of the season.

Phanatic Love

A lot of people ask me if there's a difference between short races and long races.  I think short and long races are totally different animals.  My longest races have been half marathons and my shortest races have been 5ks.  Here's how they are different:

  • Half Marathons require a whole lifestyle change.  You need to change your approach to eating, sleeping, and training.  When I'm in "training season" I cut out all processed sugar and alcohol. I also up all smart carbs--hello, baked sweet potatoes!  I also get up to run 5 miles a day Tuesday, Thursday, Friday.  Sundays are dedicated to long runs.  Speed isn't as important as endurance.  I try to get an hour of cardio in a day just to teach my body how to withstand the 1:45-2 hours it will take me to run the half marathon.
  • Halves let you find your pace.  You eventually settle into a pace that is comfortably uncomfortable for you.  I usually end up running those miles in about 8:10-8:14.  I'm tired, but not out of breath.
  • Halves require less food before the race...for me anyway.  Before halves I usually eat a homemade breakfast cookie.  Nothing too heavy or big because I'll get sick.  I usually eat this about 5 minutes before the race.  No water before a long run if it's in the am.
  • 5ks are more about speed. I sprint the entire thing.  My pace usually falls within the 7-7:20 range.
  • 5ks also require more food...for me anyway.  I eat oats, almond milk, 1 oz walnuts/almonds/pecans or whatever other nuts we have on hand, cinnamon, and a splash of vanilla.  I ate this about 2 hours before the race.  I also drank about 4 cups of water before this race.
  • I don't refuel carbs wise while running halves or 5ks so in that respect they're the same.

I'm off to VA now to visit Dylan!  I'm hoping there's some biscuits in my future!  And maybe some ice cream from Kline's...

This race made me even MORE excited about the upcoming season.  April 11th can't come soon enough.  Padre and I are going to the game on April 12th for Opening Night.  Hello free tee and Dollar Dogs (for Dad...I eat before the game)!  I'll also be there next Saturday for a Future's Game!  We also have tickets for Runner's Day!

Every Mile A Memory

Happy Hump Day!

How is mid week going for everyone?  Everything is peachy over in my corner of the world.  Some exciting things have been happening to this girl!

I was one of the lucky Broad Street Run lottery winners!  I'll be running with 40,000 of my closest friends in the Philadlephia Broad Street Run on May 1, 2016!  I applied for it about a week ago and was trying to go into it with zero expectations.  Every year this run gets bigger and bigger and thus, more and more people don't get selected for the lottery.  I tried to be optimistic and realized that there are still 40,000 OPEN spots.  One of them was bound to go to me, right?  RIGHT!!

Monday morning I saw the email in my inbox and I quickly read the yada yada yadas and went...

source

This is the largest 10 mile run in the country and to say that I'm excited is a gross understatement.  I always find that signing up for new races invigorates me and breathes new life into my workout routine.

So this girl is back in training :)  Thank you NJ weather for being weird and awkward, but allowing me to get a slow as molasses 5 miler in today.

Why was the run awkward?  Well, let's recap the NJ weather shall we?  This weekend was the coldest day in years...9 degrees for the win/loss depending on how you wanna see it.  BUT today was one of the warmest!  It was 57!?  So yesterday at 5 am when I began my run, I encountered a weird terrain...snow, slush, ice, and normal.  Well this resulted in me running like this:

It was purrrty!  I almost slipped nine times!  I should have turned around, but alas I was a determined little runner.  Plus it was 5:10 am and I was already a schweaty betty so I'd have to shower and thus not be able to sleep anyway.  It was moo.

source
Gotta love Joey!

Speaking of Joey and all things Friends, have you seen this?  It's dead on!

Also, today FB granted me this little gem and I felt the need to share it.

This little gem is a fossil from Ra and my roomie experience in Decker Hall at (if you can't tell) TCNJ.  This was our favorite year in college.  So many fun memories (we actually had a full day of classes together woot woot!), our first practicums, and our first WaWa Wednesday/Italian Food Thursday, and midnight rides through Princeton/PA/random locations.  We look like babies in this pic!  We were 20!  INSANE that was 5 years ago!

We used to match at least once a week...not on purpose!  4 days a week our sophomore year we had opposite wake up schedules (she had 8 ams on the days I had 10 ams and vice versa) and we would inevitably match at least once a week.  It wasn't like jeans a TCNJ hoodie (P.S. no one wears TCNJ gear AT ALL on campus after freshman week freshman year.  This pic was a joke with our school spirit) no, no.  It would be obscure things.  I had a yellow floral dress and she would wear a yellow shirt with a white skirt.  Or we'd both wear black shirts and matching scarves with jeans and Uggs.  Very 2010, Very Sears Family Portrait Studio.

Also, dontcha just love the pose I'm rocking?  Arched back, popped knee, had on hip,  head tilted...yup, can you tell I was a high school cheerleader?

Anyway, anyone else going to be running Broad Street this May?!  P.S. Did anyone else sign up in anticipation of acquiring a new running outfit?  TBH I always start planning my race day outfit as soon as I hit submit :)  Dorky?  Duh!

I hope everyone has a happy Wednesday and know the weekend is coming!

XOXO,

E

So It's Been A While...

Happy Monday!

Well, I guess I haven't blogged since...September 16th?  Ahh, September.  Warm weather, baseball games, and pool lounging.  I miss you.

January is...nice...too.

After Jonas came in and dropped 2+ feet on us here in NJ, it's officially our first SNOW DAY!

*insert hand clap for Snow Days*

Actually, it went a little more like this:

source

Cait and I went to Farmicia in Philly for Restaurant Week.
We ordered the most delicious food in the world and then...at 7:30 pm the glorious text message came in!

"YES!!!  WOO HOOOOOO!!  SNOW DAY!"

Does anyone else hear the choir of angels sing when they get the Snow Day Text?

Yup.  I screamed in a restaurant.  Then I did a little dance.  People stared.  People judged.  People were obviously jealous :)

Back to Farmicia!

After being cooped up for 2 days due to Snowpocalypse 2016, Cait and I were itching to get out of the house.

I've been dying to try Farmicia since I read about it on Julie's blog a few years back.  When I saw it on the list for this year's Restaurant Week, I jumped on the reservation train and booked it.

The snow definitely impacted RW because there were 3 other tables of people and this restaurant books up FAST!  Even for a regular weekend it's hard to get a table.

Neither of us could decide what to order.  We've been poring over the menu for weeks now in preparation, but everything looked too delicious to pass up.  We decided to go splitsies to maximize our choices.  Full menu can be found here.

We of course rolled with champagne cocktails to start.

Grace Kelly for me and Cloud 9 for Cait

Next, we went with roasted brussel sprouts.  We totally fangirled over these.  Weird?  Don't knock it til you try it.  They had pomegranate and dijon.  Hoooomygoodness.  FaceRocked!!

Next, a wonderful man brought around bread.  A bread man.  What a great thing to have at a restaurant.  I ordered the multigrain and Cait got the rosemary.  (When he came back we both eagerly jumped for seconds) I like this idea because often times I find myself uncontrollably eating the bread, even though I'm not a huge bread girl, just because it's there.  This way it was an easy way to avoid the extra 4 slices that I usually end up eating.

I rolled with the shrimp, spinach, capers and garlic aioli.  I could have eaten 1,000 of them and not been bored.

For the main course, Cait ordered the Roasted Eggplant Cannelloni.  I ordered the Blackened St. Peter's Fish.  'Twas daaalish.

For dessert we ordered Creme Brûlée and a Flourless Chocolate Torte with Esperesso ice cream.

Demolished.

**Notice the apple centerpiece**  We wanted to eat it, but we figured that would be bad form.

We both got the cardigan memo

We also made friends with a lovely couple who enjoyed dishing about Real Housewives (is anyone else watching RHOP and loving it like me?), The Bachelor, and SNL.  One of them even ended up working at the same place as Cait.  Small World!

We both left dinner saying the same thing, "We'll be back."  When you will pay full price for a meal, you know it must be good.  Now the tough part begins...what will we order??

I would highly recommend this restaurant.  It's a delicious place located in Old City.  It has a fun, casual vibe with plenty of options.  Perfect for a Girls' Nite or a date night.

I Don't Want These Nights To End

Happy Monday!!

How was everyone's weekend?!  It is starting to feel and look like fall around here.  On my 12 miler (which I PR'd at 1:40:02) this weekend I began to notice that the leaves were changing to a beautiful harvest gold!  Also, it's getting darker around 7 now.  I'm kinda super extremely pumped for fall.  SOO many good fall activities are on my docket and I can't wait to live them out loud.

I'm on my way to Sam's for a SPED reunion brunch right now.  I'm PUMPED about seeing most of the girls today.  I haven't seen Sam since last Halloween-----far toooooo long to see my favorite Mrs.

I made this recipe for the brunch.  I may or may not have scraped the sides of the bowl because the uncooked goodness is amazing.

I think they will love it.  If they don't…more for me <3  Sam and her hubs are healthy lifers like me and we have a few dietary restrictions in our group so I wanted to make something everyone could enjoy.  This bread is def a crowd pleaser.

This past weekend was one for the books.  I love being super busy on my weekends…maybe because I can't sit still…and this weekend definitely fit the bill.  After my first week back at school with nuggets, I was ready to relax and decompress with some girlfriends.

First Day of Year 2!!
There was cake this week at work…ALWAYS A WIN!
Usually I try to steer clear of the teacher's lounge until lunchtime because there's always sweets or treats, but I can't resist chocolate cake.

Also, Friday our AHHHMAYYYZING Home and School brought us a Have A Good Year Breakfast
You know I ate about 3 times this amount of grapes <3

Thursday night, Daddio and I were supposed to go to the Phillies vs. Cubs game.  A leeeeetle history on the relationship between my dad, me, and the Cubs.  When the Phils' schedule comes out, my dad and I pick teams that we absolutely MUST see such as the Cards, the Nats (just because we usually ironically always end up seeing them) and the Orioles.  Then, we pick the teams that the Phils usually don't play.  The Cubs don't play the Phils too often and therefore we scooped up those tickets.  We tried to see them last year, but ended up going to Boston during that series.  So Thursday night we had Phils/Cubs tickets.  We headed into Philly for the game and IT RAINED!!  NOT A LITTLE RAIN!  COLOSSAL RAIN!  I felt like the Forrest Gump scene where he's talking about it raining sideways and raining up.

Doesn't this look like the best version of a slip and slide OF ALL TIME!?

Sad about the rain delay and eventual cancellation

Before the game was officially cancelled, we traded in our tickets for Sunday's game (perks of being a stinky team lol).

FAIL WHALE

Friday night was NOT a fail whale…quite opposite of a fail whale!  IT WAS LUKE BRYAN CONCERT #1!!!  Yes I said #1!  This year with XTU's MegaTicket, we got tickets for BOTH Luke concerts.  Winner winner chicken dinner!

Kate, Jess, and I went to see our boy and shake it for him.

We forgot to snap a pic unitl it was dark
Kate and I also snuck a pic in
The concert was awesome and we definitely shook it all night long.  Dustin Lynch and Randy Hauser opened for him and we were both fantastic.  Dustin Lynch is SO PRETTY!  Like so pretty it hurts to stare at him. His teeth are SO WHITE!  Like ROSS GELLAR WHITE!  You could see them from the stage.

Saturday was a gymstravaganza!  We had a sub for spinning and it was ok.  It's always nice to take class from someone else and hear their music and see what they like to do routine-wise.  The teacher was a little monotone, but it was a solid spin sesh.

I ran home to get ready for LUKE PART 2!  First, I went to Wegman's for a yummy sample stroll.

The forecast was foreboding to be kind.  It was supposed to downpour and of course we had lawn seats.  We were kinda prepared for the rain.  And by kinda prepared I meant wearing white shorts, a braid, and bringing a plastic reinforced blanket.  Can you tell we didn't make it far in Girl Scouts?

Cait and me pre-concert!  Don't we look all countrified?
Who says Jersey isn't country?
As soon as we sat down the rain came.  We quickly realized our leggins and white shorts were PROBABLY not our best decision.

We promise we're smarter than this

Luke was great!  He's so talented and plays so many instruments well…plus he's not bad to look at ;)  My cousin Jen actually ended up giving us her tickets so we were instantly upgraded to the house.

Look how close!!

Doesn't this guy look like Tony Romo?

Nathan Scott was apparently at the concert, too!
The concert was amazing!  I always look forward to Luke's concerts because he sounds just as amazing live as he does on CD.

We only have one concert left in our pack.  Lady A and Sam Hunt we can't wait to see you!

Sunday was a long run--12 miles in 1:40!!  New PR!

Followed by a super excited trip to the stadium!

Soooo pumped that we might actually get to see the Cubs after 4 failed attempts

After church we jetted over to Geno's for a pre-game lunch.  I figured I could eat the cheese fries because I ran so fast and far.

I love you deliciously gross fat molecules

Get in my belly
At the game I snagged some pickle chips to avenge all the times they didn't have pickle chips at the beginning of the season.

Happy People!

The cutest Starting 9 Little Kiddos
I'm convinced that most people have children so that they can go to all the fun events at the stadium.

Fun Fact!  If I was a pitcher I would want my entrance song to be a full on marching band that would come up from the shrubs by the bull pen like characters in Super Mario Brothers.

Life Goal!

Oh hey Greg Luzinski!  Daddy and I met him today
Great game!  We won 7-4 and we got to watch the team work together.  We like our new team and I think they will do great things…next season ;)

This little sign was on 95
Wawa welcomes the Pope!

This weekend was great and I hope you all enjoyed your weekend!

XOXO,

E
